How To Make Delicious Food
Hiya! So instead of bringing you a recipe post today, I'm just gonna have a chat with y'all, about some stuff I've been feeling lately. I have wanted to put this on Instagram for a while now, but I have a lot to say for Instagram's limited word count, so I thought I'd blog about it instead. I also haven't put out many "blogging" style posts in a while, so thought it was about time for one!

Today I wanna talk about self love, acceptance and body confidence. Two years ago, this would have been something I wouldn't just openly talk about, as it made me very uncomfortable. However much has changed since then, and I honestly feel like a different person.

Firstly I'd like to say, that being in admiration of yourself is not vain, it is good. In a world that is constantly telling us how to be better, being happy with yourself now is a rare, but precious thing. As women we are constantly looking, judging and comparing ourselves to fellow women. We need to stop! There is no point in continuously putting yourself down, it makes you feel like shit, and honestly, pointing out your flaws everyday is not going to make them disappear, so why do it? I have come to learn that it is so important to accept my body and all it does for me now, not later, not when I lose weight, not when I look "better", but now. Right now. You can spend your entire life judging yourself but what will it achieve? Self-hate, resentment, mood swings?

I can honestly say that I love myself, I love my body and all it does for me, I love the strength I have gained from push myself in the gym, I love all the things, all the chemical reactions happening inside of me without my knowledge, I love my curves, and most importantly, I have finally accepted the fact that I'm not going to be "skinny" ever. I was born curvy, it's my body type and that's how it's meant to be.
Don't get me wrong, I have my days of feeling down too. There are days when I wont leave the house without make up, or I'll try on countless outfits, never happy with how my clothes fit me.
But I have never felt so good mentally and physically in SUCH a long time. For once I am feeling good about myself, and I'm happy. This isn't vanity. This is self love. This is acceptance. I have finally found balance.

Making peace with yourself, and loving your earth suit can be a journey, but it can also be as simple as deciding you're going to start accepting what you've been born with.
Be kind to yourself.
