How To Make Delicious Food

Hey guys!
Today I am coming to you with a veganised version of an old favourite- the crunchie bar! I loveeeeed crunchie bars when I wasn't vegan, and I haven't had one in over 2 and a half years! These turned out really really good! They taste almost exactly how I remember crunchie bars used to taste!

Also this recipe is so simple, and made with just a few ingredients. I seriously don't understand how traditional crunchie bars have so so many ingredients, as these bars are so easssyy, and so little ingredients!

Also I'd like to add that these are no even the slightest bit healthy, but life is about balance, right?. . . right!

Lets just get straight into it. . . !!

Crunchie bites
Ingredients

1 cup sugar
2 tbsp maple/golden syrup
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp baking soda
150 grams vegan dark chocolate

Method
1. Start by making the "hokey pokey" filling- place the sugar, water and golden syrup into a saucepan and place over medium heat. Allow the sugar to melt, and stir occasionally. Allow it to come to a boil for 5-6 minutes and once the mix has is a yellow-golden colour add the baking soda and take off the heat. Mix the baking soda into the syrup well, so it becomes a thick and creamy consistency.
2. Place the hockey pokey into a rectangle tin lined with baking paper, and place in the fridge for 4-5 hours.
3. Once the hokey pokey has harden completely, melt the dark chocoalate.
4. Cut the hokey pokey into small bite sized squares (or you can make long chocolate-like bars), and coat in the dark chocolate.
5. Place back into the fridge for 20 minutes to cool and harden!
Done!

You will be left with some yummmmy as vegan crunchie bites of your very own! While these are so so delicious remember not to go too crazy, as they aren't the healthiest! But also remember that  bit of sugar coated chocolate ain't gonna hurt you either!
