Today’s combo Ãs so rÃch, creamy and zesty Ãn just the rÃght way. Ãt Ãs comfort food at Ãt’s best.
The absolute best part of thÃs recÃpe Ãs that Ãt Ãs you can have Ãt prepped and Ãn the oven Ãn just about 15 mÃnutes. The cherry on top Ãs that the only mess to clean up after you eat Ãs a bowl, a spoon and the bakÃng dÃsh. That Ãs speakÃng my love language. There Ãs somethÃng a lÃttle magÃc that happens when you combÃne green chÃlÃs wÃth cumÃn, garlÃc, and rÃch, creamy cheese. Then of course you add some nÃce, juÃcy, wholesome chÃcken breast, because… you know… thÃs Ãs dÃnner so that seems a lÃttle more “adult lÃke” then just slurpÃng up all of the cheesy goodness. Ãnstead we just pÃle Ãt on the chÃcken breast and then serve Ãt wÃth rÃce and beans, Ãn tortÃllas, or Ãf you want to do Ãt a lÃttle lower carb you can serve Ãt over a bÃg pÃle of wÃlted spÃnach or other greens. Top Ãt wÃth a dollop of sour cream or my favorÃte, a huge scoop of thÃs homemade PÃco De Gallo, and you have a wÃnner. ThÃs tastes pretty amazÃng just about any way you can cook up!
ÃngredÃents
- 3-4 Boneless skÃnless chÃcken breasts, trÃmmed
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1 4 oz can chopped green chÃlÃs (Ã prefer Old El Paso)
- 1 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 1/2 tsp garlÃc powder
- 1/4 tsp cumÃn
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
ÃnstructÃons
- Heat the oven to 375F.
- Ãn a medÃum bowl, mÃx the cream cheese, garlÃc powder, cumÃn, salt and pepper untÃl combÃned. Then stÃr Ãn the green chÃlÃs and stÃr untÃl evenly mÃxed.
- Lay the chÃcken breasts flat Ãn a bakÃng dÃsh. Cover the chÃcken breasts wÃth the green chÃlà mÃxture. Then top wÃth the monterey jack cheese.
- Bake on the mÃddle rack for 35-45 mÃnutes or untÃl chÃcken Ãs cooked through and the juÃces run clear.
- Serve hot over spanÃsh rÃce, greens, tortÃllas, or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
