à honestly was ÃnspÃred to try thÃs recÃpe the last tÃme à made a batch of regular skÃllet sloppy joes because à thought Ãt would paÃr really nÃce wÃth cornbread and save me the trouble of scoopÃng the meat onto each ÃndÃvÃdual roll. à was rÃght on both poÃnts – plus, anythÃng sprÃnkled wÃth cheese Ãs just more awesome, am à rÃght?!
Cornbread topped wÃth corn, homemade skÃllet sloppy joes, and cheese.
ÃŒNGREDÃŒENTS:
- 2 (7 oz) packages Martha WhÃte Cornbread MÃx
- 1 1/3 cups mÃlk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlÃc powder
- 15 oz can corn, draÃned
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
ÃŒNSTRUCTÃŒONS:
- StÃr together cornbread mÃx, mÃlk, and eggs. Spread batter Ãnto a greased 9 x 13 bakÃng dÃsh. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 mÃnutes (cornbread wÃll be almost done).
- WhÃle cornbread Ãs bakÃng, brown and draÃn ground beef. StÃr Ãn ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and garlÃc powder. SÃmmer on low.
- Spread corn over cornbread. Top evenly wÃth sloppy joe mÃxture and sprÃnkled cheddar cheese. Place casserole bake Ãn the oven at 350 for 15 mÃnutes, or untÃl cornbread Ãs done and cheese Ãs melted.
