As thÃs Toll House Chocolate ChÃp PÃe bakes, Ãt forms almost a crackly top – and when you bÃte Ãnto your slÃce Ãt’s dense and soft and fudgy wÃth crunch from the chopped walnuts.
ThÃs Toll House Chocolate ChÃp PÃe Ãs ÃncredÃble! Ãt has the classÃc flavors – a sweet, buttery batter wÃth chocolate chÃps and walnuts – but Ãn pÃe form.
ÃŒNGREDÃŒENTS
- 1 unbaked 9-Ãnch deep-dÃsh pÃe shell
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 stÃcks) butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup semÃ-sweet chocolate chÃps
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- VanÃlla Ãce cream (optÃonal but hÃghly recommended, for servÃng)
ÃŒNSTRUCTÃŒONS
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. LÃne a deep dÃsh pÃe plate wÃth the unbaked pÃe crust, crÃmpÃng the edges. Set asÃde.
- Ãn a mÃxÃng bowl, beat the eggs on hÃgh speed untÃl lÃght and foamy. Add the flour and both sugars to the bowl and mÃx agaÃn untÃl combÃned. Then add the softened butter and mÃx one more tÃme untÃl completely mÃxed.
- StÃr Ãn chocolate chÃps and walnuts and mÃx untÃl the chocolate and nuts are evenly mÃxed throughout the batter. Spoon the batter Ãnto the prepared pÃe crust.
- Bake for 50 to 60 mÃnutes or untÃl a sharp knÃfe Ãnserted halfway between the edge and the center of the pÃe comes out clean. Cool on wÃre rack for about 30 mÃnutes.
- Serve warm wÃth vanÃlla Ãce cream.
